Ryvita Green & Black Olive Crackers

OLIVES are one of those foods that has become a bit of a trend in recent times. But the European favourite still splits the opinion and is a true ‘love it or hate it’ fruit.

A lot of restaurants are beginning to incorporate them into their menus and now Olives are also branching out into other foods. Ryvita are the latest brand to take the plunge and release an Olive product that people will either really enjoy having or be totally put off by. Their Green & Black Olive Crackers come in a box consisting of four packs of six Crackers, continuing a recent trend of Cracker companies splitting their packs and telling us what a portion should be.

Some Crackers can be quite nice and moreish on their own but unfortunately these aren’t. They are really quite crisp but also extremely dry when sampled on their own. However, as Crackers aren’t traditionally eaten without a topping, the dryness shouldn’t be a reason to not try them. The Crackers do give that similar heat you should be used to when eating Olives which does give these Crackers a touch of authenticity.

If you are a fan of Olives then you’ll really like these, especially as an alternative to bread and sandwiches. They add a flavour to the toppings and give something different to ordinary Crackers. If you don’t like Olives then you probably won’t really enjoy these but for the lovers of Olives, definitely use these with your favourite toppings to add something new to your lunchtimes.
