LAST year, Jelly was given a sprucing up by Hartley’s that left a shine to your dessert. Glitter Jelly was released in two flavours and not only did it look quite fancy with the shiny glitter, they tasted really fruity and wouldn’t stay in the bowl for very long.
After this success, Hartley’s have now created a third flavour; Mixed Berry. Like the previous two, it’s really easy to make. You just stir the mix into boiling water until all of the powder has been soaked up and you then leave it to set. Once this is done, you have a bright blue Jelly with glistening pieces of glitter wobbling around.
The darkness of the Jelly does mean that it’s arguably not as glittery as the other two flavours and it actually tastes similar to a Blue Raspberry Slush Puppy, obviously without the ice. Like the others, this is just as fruity and doesn’t just taste watery which can make some Jellies disappointing. This makes it quite moreish and it certainly doesn’t last very long.
