CARAMEL and Toffee are two rather similar things. But there is quite a difference between the two; Caramel is often sweeter compared to Toffee’s darker taste. Despite this obvious difference, many companies tend to just merge the tastes together and pass one off as the other in the hope to gain more customers who might prefer one or the other.
Unfortunately, Nescafe have done just that with their latest Cafe Menu product. It’s billed as a Toffee Nut Latte and a darker tasting Coffee in the Winter would be an extremely warming drink that would perhaps not be as sweet as other similar Lattes. But there’s no darkness to it and definitely no hint of a nutty flavour which you would expect.
As a drink, it is nice despite not being quite as advertised. What causes the most disappointment is the fact that Nescafe already have a Caramel Latte and this Toffee Nut Latte just taste exactly the same which renders the release of this limited edition flavour pointless.
